Danna grew up in New Hampshire and spent summers in Hebron, NH (pop. 459). She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of New Hampshire in 1998 with a double major in Political Science and French. She moved to Philadelphia in August, 1999 to pursue her Ph.D. at the Annenberg School under her advisor and mentor, Dr. Joseph Cappella. She earned her PhD from Penn in 2007 and is now an Assistant Professor of Communication at the University of Delaware where she teaches classes in mass communication, politics and entertainment, and media effects.
In 1999, Danna
became a member of the improvisational comedy troupe, ComedySportz
Philadelphia. There she met the talented and dynamic Mike Young.
The two were married and joined by Baxter iniDecember 2004. After a courageous nine month battle with a benign
brain tumor, Michael passed away in July 2006.
Since November 2007, Danna and Baxter have been lucky enough to spend their days with the wonderful PJ Gallagher. Danna and PJ will be married in May 2009.
